새참

'Sae-cham,' a communal meal shared during a break from farm work, represents more than just a time to satisfy hunger; it symbolizes a uniquely Korean sense of 'Jeong' (affectionate attachment) and community, washing away the fatigue of labor through connection with neighbors. Performed with local Austrian dancers, this work shares the Korean culture of giving through the language of movement, illustrating the process of how distinct cultures can be united by the universal themes of 'food' and 'rest.’

농번기 일손을 멈추고 함께 나누는 ‘새참’은 단순히 허기를 채우는 시간을 넘어, 노동의 고단함을 씻어내고 이웃과 소통하는 한국 특유의 정과 공동체 의식을 상징한다. 이 작품은 오스트리아 현지 무용수들과 함께 한국의 나눔 문화를 몸짓으로 공유하며, 서로 다른 문화가 ‘음식’과 ‘휴식’이라는 보편적인 키워드로 연결되는 과정을 보여주고자 했다.
